MC308 — Cinema Surround Speaker

The MC308 is a three-way coaxial surround loudspeaker in the MC Series for the side-wall and rear-wall surround channels of commercial auditoriums, suitable for wall or ceiling mounting, and for ceiling suspension on threaded rods as a height channel for immersive formats such as Dolby Atmos. It combines an 8″ coaxial mid-high driver, a 1.5″ dome HF section and one ribbon super-tweeter, delivering 60 Hz–25 kHz (±3 dB) and 100° × 100° nominal coverage from a 290 mm deep bass-reflex enclosure.

Mid and high frequencies radiate from the coaxial unit on a single axis, with the ribbon super-tweeter carrying the upper band. The 8 Ω nominal load suits conventional amplifier channels; 92 dB sensitivity and a 170 W AES 100-hour rating define its output capability. The U-shaped integrated bracket provides horizontal aiming for direct side-wall mounting or ceiling suspension; the bass-reflex MDF cabinet carries a textured paint finish and weighs 10 kg net.
