A 1″ silk-dome tweeter sits at the center of a 3″ carbon-fiber midrange, aligning both drivers on a shared acoustic axis. This compact coaxial arrangement is designed for coherent sound and precise imaging in desktop nearfield monitoring.

Each speaker has its own internal power supply and two Class-D amplifier chips. An active three-way crossover feeds separate amplifier channels for the tweeter, midrange and woofer: BTL for the highs and mids, PBTL for the lows.

Based on equal-loudness contours, Bass EQ adjusts bass compensation with volume. It adds low-frequency presence at lower levels, then gradually reduces the boost as volume rises—helping keep the sound balanced and controlled.

Absolutely perfect for my compact desktop setup. Since there’s no bass port to worry about, placement is extremely flexible—I basically just need to point them toward my ears and route the cables through whatever small gaps are available. For such a compact and effortless setup, the sound is far beyond what I expected. Easily the best desktop solution I’ve used.
The sound is incredibly detailed, with excellent dynamics, and the metal finish and small construction details are equally impressive. I also tried them for competitive gaming. While I wouldn’t say the positional imaging is 100% perfect, I could clearly tell where enemies were coming from through these speakers, genuinely impressed.
Overall, hassle-free solution. It isn’t cheap, but it absolutely worth the price.

The MINIMAX series includes a 1-year standard warranty covering material and workmanship defects under normal use, plus an optional +3-year extended warranty available through product registration. Can I return the MiniMax3 Monitor if it does not work on my desk?
You can return your SOVOX product within 30 days of receiving it for a full refund, provided it was purchased from the SOVOX Official Store or an authorized dealer and is returned in its original packaging in new or near-new condition. Email customerservice@sovox.com to request an RMA number; once issued, the product must reach us within 14 calendar days. Shipping cost and transit risk for returns are borne by the customer.

How is a 3-way coaxial monitor different from a 2-way monitor of the same size?
A 2-way monitor crosses over from woofer to tweeter around 2-3 kHz, in the region where the ear is most sensitive to timing and directivity errors. The MiniMax3 Monitor crosses at 240 Hz and 3.6 kHz, so a dedicated 3″ carbon fibre midrange covers the vocal band without also moving air for the low end. Mounting the 1″ silk dome tweeter on the same axis as that midrange makes the pair behave closer to a single point source, which keeps the response consistent as you move vertically at a desk.
How much desk width does the MiniMax3 Monitor need?
Each speaker is 108 mm wide, 192 mm high and 199 mm deep, so a stereo pair occupies 216 mm of total width before any gap to a display or wall. Net weight is 4.1 kg per speaker, which keeps it within the range of most desk clamps and monitor arms.
Do I need an audio interface to use the MiniMax3 Monitor?
No. It accepts balanced XLR at +4 dBu and unbalanced RCA at −10 dBV, so it connects directly to an audio interface, a mixer, or a consumer source with RCA outputs. The rear USB-C port is for firmware updates only and is not an audio input.
