Patented ®ISP™ Coaxial

Precision Sound Since 1991

MiniMax3 Monitor features SOVOX’s exclusive ISP™ coaxial technology, refined since 1994, delivering phase-accurate sound and clear imaging for reliable nearfield monitoring.

Active–Passive Dual Bass System

Clean Low Frequencies Down to 46 Hz

MiniMax3 Monitor pairs an in-house designed 3.5-inch active woofer with a 5-inch passive radiator, delivering deep, controlled bass with low distortion—solving the limited bass extension of traditional 3-inch monitors.

Why Three-Way Sounds Different

MiniMax3 Monitor rethinks compact monitoring with a true three-way design in a 3-inch format.

Unlike conventional two-way designs, its three-way architecture separates low, mid, and high frequencies across dedicated drivers, resulting in cleaner mids, smoother transitions, and a more balanced, consistent sound—clearly reflected in the measured frequency response.

DSP Room Adaption

MiniMax3 Monitor offers four placement presets—Free, Desk, Wall, and Desk & Wall—to compensate for boundary effects and placement-related tonal changes.

Combined with manual HF and LF adjustment, it ensures clear, balanced nearfield monitoring in any space, even small rooms.

Overall, a cool speaker that has excellent build quality, good performance and a lot of tonal adjustments via the on-board DSP.

Frequently asked questions

Support

What warranty does the MiniMax3 Monitor come with?

The MINIMAX series includes a 1-year standard warranty covering material and workmanship defects under normal use, plus an optional +3-year extended warranty available through product registration. Register the product with a valid proof of purchase; the extended period is added after the standard warranty expires. For a claim, contact customerservice@sovox.com with your serial number and proof of purchase.

Can I return the MiniMax3 Monitor if it does not work on my desk?

You can return your SOVOX product within 30 days of receiving it for a full refund, provided it was purchased from the SOVOX Official Store or an authorized dealer and is returned in its original packaging in new or near-new condition. Email customerservice@sovox.com to request an RMA number; once issued, the product must reach us within 14 calendar days. Shipping cost and transit risk for returns are borne by the customer.

Where does the MiniMax3 Monitor ship from, and who handles support?

Ships from within the U.S. Support, RMA numbers and warranty claims are handled directly by SOVOX at customerservice@sovox.com — there is no third-party distributor in between.

How is a 3-way coaxial monitor different from a 2-way monitor of the same size?

A 2-way monitor crosses over from woofer to tweeter around 2-3 kHz, in the region where the ear is most sensitive to timing and directivity errors. The MiniMax3 Monitor crosses at 240 Hz and 3.6 kHz, so a dedicated 3″ carbon fibre midrange covers the vocal band without also moving air for the low end. Mounting the 1″ silk dome tweeter on the same axis as that midrange makes the pair behave closer to a single point source, which keeps the response consistent as you move vertically at a desk.

How much desk width does the MiniMax3 Monitor need?

Each speaker is 110 mm wide, 195 mm high and 200 mm deep, so a stereo pair occupies 220 mm of total width before any gap to a display or wall. Net weight is 4.1 kg per speaker, which keeps it within the range of most desk clamps and monitor arms.

Do I need an audio interface to use the MiniMax3 Monitor?

No. It accepts balanced XLR at +4 dBu and unbalanced RCA at −10 dBV, so it connects directly to an audio interface, a mixer, or a consumer source with RCA outputs. The rear USB-C port is for firmware updates only and is not an audio input.
