MC4082 — Cinema Screen Loudspeaker System

The MC4082 is a bi-amplified, four-way screen-channel loudspeaker system combining a dual 12″ bass-reflex LF module with a mid/high module (8″ coaxial midrange, 2″ HF, and six ribbon super-tweeters). It delivers 42 Hz–25 kHz (±3 dB) response with 90° × 45° nominal coverage for behind-screen main channels in small-to-medium auditoria, screening rooms and dubbing stages.

A 300 Hz LR24 active crossover splits the LF and mid/high sections, each driven by its own amplifier channel; internal passive crossovers at 1.8 kHz and 4.0 kHz integrate the coaxial mid, HF and ribbon UHF bands within the mid/high module. The 8″ coaxial mid and 2″ HF share one acoustic axis, so their sources are coincident, while the six ribbon super-tweeters employ an integrated ultra-light diaphragm-and-coil construction for the top octave. The mid/high module stacks directly on the LF enclosure to form a compact two-module array; at 18 kg and 302 mm deep, it allows staged handling and positioning in confined screen-wall spaces, with screen-frame mounting. Both modules are 410 mm wide, so the stacked array is flush and recesses easily into a wall opening; in dubbing stages and acoustically demanding auditoria, this three-way layout — low, mid and high each handled by a dedicated driver — is especially well suited.
