MS1501 — Cinema Surround Speaker

The MS1501 is the largest, highest-output coaxial two-way surround loudspeaker in the MS Series, for the side-wall and rear-wall channels of large auditoriums, suitable for wall or ceiling mounting, and for ceiling suspension on threaded rods as a height channel for immersive formats such as Dolby Atmos. It pairs a 15″ coaxial driver with a 2.5″ dome HF section and delivers 52 Hz–20 kHz (±3 dB) and 100° × 100° nominal coverage from a 369 mm deep bass-reflex enclosure.

The 4 Ω nominal impedance governs how many cabinets can share one channel and the cable size required, so amplifier current capability and cable loss must be checked at system design. At 98 dB sensitivity and a 350 W AES 100-hour rating it is the highest-output model in the series, so a wide hall can meet the level with fewer cabinets. The U-shaped bracket provides horizontal aiming for direct side-wall mounting or ceiling suspension; the bass-reflex MDF cabinet carries a PVC laminate finish and weighs 23.8 kg net.
